Remove EXIF & GPS from photos
Drop a photo, see what is hiding in it, then download a copy without that extra data. Nothing is uploaded. This does not hide the picture from reverse image search. It only removes the hidden fields in the file.

JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, or AVIF. Your photos stay on this device.

When to strip metadata
Use this before you email a photo, attach it to a form, or post it somewhere that might keep the original file. Phones often store where you were standing, which camera took the shot, and the exact time.
Tick each kind of data you want gone. Shortcuts still work: All, GPS only, or Keep copyright. Uncheck a box to leave that field in the file.
If the file has Content Credentials (C2PA), tick that box to take that block out. The photo will no longer carry a Content Credentials signature. We only remove those credentials, and leave the rest of the picture as it is.
How to do it
- Drop one or more JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, or AVIF files. They stay on this device.
- Read the short summary: GPS, camera, date, software, and whether Content Credentials are present.
- Tick the data to remove. Groups can be toggled together, or use All / GPS only / Keep copyright.
- Download the cleaned file, or a zip if you dropped several.
Tips
- The original on your disk is not changed. You download a new file.
- JPEG is rewritten losslessly when we can, so pixels stay the same.
- We keep the ICC color profile when the file has one. If a JPEG cannot be rewritten losslessly, we save a new JPG and say so.
- Stripping metadata does not stop someone searching with the picture itself.
