When to remove a flat background
Use this for a logo, icon, or product photo sitting on one colour, usually white. Matching pixels are cleared. The download is a PNG, because a JPG cannot store transparency.
This does not cut a person out of a street or a room. Hair, shadows, and any part of the picture that is the same colour as the background disappear too. If you need to paint, add text, or place a crop, do that in Photasium first, then drop the result here.
A plain JPG to PNG keeps the picture opaque. This page is the one that clears a colour. A vector logo that is already clear should use SVG to PNG instead.

How to do it
- Drop one or more images. They stay on this device.
- Leave the colour on white, or click a picture to choose another.
- Raise the match if a few off-white pixels remain, then download the PNG.
Tips
- Start with the default match. A high match will eat light parts of the logo.
- JPG edges are a little grey. A small match clears that fringe.
- Pixels that are already clear in a PNG stay clear.
- An animated GIF uses the first frame.
