When to build a favicon pack
Use this when a site still needs a classic favicon.ico plus the PNG icons phones and browsers actually show. One source image is enough: a square PNG or SVG logo works best. The picture is fitted on a square canvas (contain), so a wide mark gets padding rather than being stretched.
PNG downloads default to a transparent canvas. The ICO uses a white (or chosen) flat colour behind the mark, because a lot of old tab UI still expects an opaque icon. This is not a layer editor. If you need to crop or add text first, do that in Photasium then drop the result here.
The zip includes favicon.ico (16 and 32), PNG 16, 32, 180, 192, and 512, and apple-touch-icon at 180. Paste the snippet into your document head. Optional 192 and 512 entries are what a web app manifest usually wants; you can copy those filenames into manifest.json yourself.
After you download, compress only if a PNG is still heavy — favicons should stay small. For a social share image, use OG image 1200×630 instead of this pack.
Work happens in this browser. There is no account and no upload. Close the tab and the logo is gone from the tool.
How to do it
- Drop one PNG, JPG, SVG, or WebP. It stays on this device.
- Leave PNG transparent, or pick a flat colour. ICO uses white or that colour.
- Build the pack, copy the HTML snippet, download the zip.
Tips
- A square logo looks sharpest. Wide wordmarks get padding on the sides.
- Do not ship a 4000px photo as a favicon. Start from a simple mark.
- ICO is 16 and 32 PNG frames packed together. Modern browsers also use the PNG links.

FAQ
- Do I still need favicon.ico?
- Many browsers will use PNG icons. ICO still helps older tabs and some bookmarks. This pack gives both.
- Will the PNG stay transparent?
- Yes, unless you pick a fill. The ICO uses white or your colour so old UI is not see-through.
- Does the logo get uploaded?
- No. Sizes are drawn in this browser.
- Can I add text on the icon?
- Not here. Use Photasium for text, then drop the image back on this page.
