# Turn an SVG into a PNG that keeps the clear background

> Turn an SVG logo or icon into a PNG in your browser. Clear areas stay clear. No upload.

Logos, icons, and simple graphics often live as SVG. Apps, slides, and email still want a PNG. This page draws the SVG in your browser and saves a PNG with transparency. Nothing is uploaded.

Online Image Converter. Language: English. https://onlineimageconverter.net/svg-to-png

## How to start

1. Drop the SVG (several at once is fine). They stay on this device.
2. Leave output on PNG. Quality does not apply: PNG is lossless.
3. Keep max width around 1024, or set the size you actually need.
4. Download the PNG. Clear areas in the SVG stay clear.

## Notes

- A 24×24 icon in the file would otherwise become a tiny PNG. This page defaults to 1024 pixels on the long edge.
- If the SVG already has a white rectangle behind the logo, the PNG will too. That fill is in the drawing.
- Linked photos, webfonts, and remote CSS in the SVG usually do not load. Outlined shapes convert cleanly.
- Do not ship a huge PNG to a website that can use the original SVG.

## Price

Always free. There is no account, no paid tier, and no watermark.

## What this site does not do

- There is no upload API, no account, and no paid tier. Photos are not sent to or stored by the site.
- Output formats are JPG, PNG, WebP, and still GIF. SVG can be opened as an input and saved as PNG with transparency.
- HEIC and HEIF can be opened in current Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. A local decoder runs in the tab when the browser cannot decode HEIC itself. AVIF stills can be opened in current browsers.
- There is no convert-to-HEIC. Animated AVIF is not supported. GIF output is a still picture. An animated GIF becomes one frame.
- This site does not make PDFs. For converting images into a PDF, use JPG to PDF on [❤️ LoveThisPDF](https://lovethispdf.com/tools/jpg-to-pdf), which also runs in the browser.
- It does not add Content Credentials (C2PA). It can strip them on Remove EXIF & GPS.
- Converting JPG to PNG keeps the picture opaque. Remove background can clear one flat colour.

## Requirements

Any phone, tablet, or computer with a browser. Nothing to install. HEIC and AVIF convert in current Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. A decoder runs in this tab when the browser cannot open HEIC itself. Very old browsers may still need a JPG from the iPhone. Very large images may fail if the device runs out of memory. Results can differ between browsers because encoders (especially WebP and JPEG quality) are implemented by the browser vendor.
